Recently, the head of a number of central enterprises, including China National Petroleum Corporation, said in an interview that the next step will be speeding up the international layout and actively participate in the Belt and Road project. They will also improve the international influence of the state-owned enterprises by opening up to the outside world and participating in international cooperation.
At present, CNPC has participated in 91 oil and gas projects in the countries along the Belt and Road and will carry out international cooperation in a more positive and open manner in the next five years.
Why do we need to speed up the global layout?

At present, the overseas assets of the central enterprises have exceeded 6 trillion yuan which are distributed in 185 countries and regions. The business has been expanded from engineering contracting and energy resources development to the fields of high-speed railway, nuclear power, telecommunications, power grid construction and operation and any other fields, which effectively enhanced our voice in the international arena.

The Belt and Road has become a highland for CNPC's overseas oil and gas cooperation and also a place where Chinese oil and gas companies "go global". It is also a zone for China to carry out international cooperation in energy resources.
